How to make canine friendly pancakes
We absolutely love Pancake Day. Name another day where you can have pancakes covered in chocolate for breakfast and it actually be acceptable.
We love a pancake or a stack to be exact. But there’s no need to leave your canines out, they can enjoy a sweet little pancake stack too.
Canine friendly pancakes are very similar to the human version – but instead of using milk, you use water instead. If you wanted to jazz it up, then you could use puppy milk.
To make it extra special, you can add honey and rolled oats into the mix.
Combine the three ingredients into a batter, using the same measurements you would be human pancakes. Add more water if necessary so that it's reasonably runny.
You can pan-fry your canine's pancakes with a small amount of oil, which is good to keep your dog’s coat shiny and healthy.
How about some dog friendly toppings?
Here's a few ideas for some proper top toppings:
Drizzle some Marmite over the top for a savoury treat or spread some peanut butter over the top
Chop up some banana pieces to serve with the pancakes – these go great with the peanut butter
Decorate the pancakes with your dog’s favourite biscuits and drizzle a small amount of honey
Remember not to overfeed your canine pancakes, it should be used as part of their normal, healthy eating routine.
Make sure there's bags of water around to help them nosh those bad boys down!
