Puppy Grooming

We’ve invested in creating a service that is enjoyable for both of our clients; human and canine.

Our puppy grooming  services are for those that are 6 months or younger and we wouldn't suggest introducing your puppy to grooming until they have settled into your home. Each one of our puppy grooming services includes the following as a standard.

Consultation

We provide a full phone consultation before every appointment.

We take time to get to know you and your puppy to ensure the grooming experience is comfortable, enjoyable but most of all, meets your expectations.

Velocity Dryer

We use a Airmax High Velocity Dryer which has a reduced sound output.

Perfect for those puppies who are slightly nervous and sensitive to sound. We also use Happy Hoodies snoods to protect your dogs ear drums from any potential damage.

Health Check

We provide a complete health-check on your puppy.

We check their ears, eyes, teeth and skin for any abnormalities to ensure your dog is in the best health. If there are any concerns will will take the time to speak with.

Puppacino

We finish the experience with a Puppacino.

We treat your puppy to a Puppacino, whipped cream topped with a charcoal biscuit. This way your dog begins to associate grooming with feelings of enjoyment.

Hydro Therapy

We use a Hydrotherapy Bath for increased blood circulation.

Our Hydro Bath gives us the capability to stimulate skin by soft spray massaging water release, providing a therapeutic water massage for your puppy, relieving tired muscles.

Doggy Bag

You and your puppy receives one of our Doggy Bags.

Our famous Doggy Bag is packed with a Homemade Bandanna, Peanut Butter & Cream Cheese Pupcake, Loyalty Card and Discount Cards for you and your human friends.

Puppy School

Our Puppy School is designed specifically for Owners who are wanting to introduce regular grooming to their Puppy’s routine and through to adulthood.

Puppy School is a series of sessions that allows your puppy to positively associate with the grooming experience, through a series of appointments.

Each Puppy School Session includes the following:

Introduction

We introduce your Puppy to Grooming so they positively associate with the experience. We use a variety of techniques including praise and reward at every part of the grooming process, not just at the start and end.

Maintenance

We introduce basic maintenance to your Puppy, so they can become accustomed to the use of clippers & trimmers. We trim their nails, pads and hygiene areas if necessary using equipment designed for smaller paws.

Brushing

We introduce your Puppy to the Brush. Brushing is an important part of both Home and Professional grooming and is essential to maintain their coat to a good standard. We use specific brushes for specific coats to ensure there is no irritation.

Bathing

We introduce your Puppy to a professional bath. Our Hydrotherapy bath is designed to provide an efficient and effective bath. During the bath we will use organic, cruelty free shampoos and conditioners and apply a gentle massage to increase those positive associations with grooming.

Drying

We introduce your Puppy to drying, using our Airmax Dryer, specifically designed for nervous dogs who may find this part stressful. Your Puppy is given a Happy Hoodie to also protect their ear-drums from any damage.

Each Puppy School Series includes a Consultation, Full Health Check, Puppacino, Pawfume & Doggy Bag.

After the series you will receive a  certificate for graduating puppy school.

Grooming Benefits

Grooming is an essential part of a dog’s life, from puppyhood onwards, because there are so many wellbeing benefits. As well as introducing air to the coat and boosting healthy hair growth, regular grooming also promotes good blood circulation and helps to prevent a build-up of grease and dandruff. When too much grease builds up within a dog’s coat, it can block pores and cause sebaceous cysts, which can be very uncomfortable and painful for the dog.

Grooming is also the perfect opportunity for your dog to be be checked regularly to ensure they are fit and well. Nowadays, most dogs live indoors and will moult more quickly, and more often, than their wild counterparts, which can cause the loose hairs to become matted. If not brushed out regularly, a heavily matted coat can become tight and will feel very uncomfortable when your dog moves. It can also lead to skin problems.

Improved Coat

Grooming maintains a healthy coat and skin and ensures your dog doesn’t suffer any irritation.

Reduced Shedding

Properly brushed and bathed coats result in less shedding and less dirt being trapped in the undercoat.

Healthy posture

Regular nail trimming reinforces a healthy paw structure and posture, and reduces the risk of infection
